Why should I subscribe when there is so much information freely available on your website? The adverts on our website are only a small proportion of the total advertised within CJS Weekly, each week we post around 20 vacancies online (plus volunteers) whereas in CJS Weekly we publish an average of 100 new posts, yes, five times more. Why should I subscribe to CJS and not any of the other environmental journals? Well obviously we're biased when we say we're the Original, the Biggest and the Best but our 2007 survey of subscribers showed that they feel the same, with 97.8% highly satisfied with CJS. Why do I need to subscribe to CJS Weekly when there is so much for free on the website? The job adverts on our website are only a small proportion of the total advertised with CJS, these are just the vacancies we are PAID to advertise, CJS Weekly includes free adverts. CJS Weekly averages around 100 new paid UK vacancies each week and around ½ (55.9% of all 2008 vacancies) are sent direct from the employer, many of which are not advertised anywhere else. The remainder are sourced from national newspapers and specialist publications as well as national Government agency websites. For recent job numbers please see News Releases. What happens when I get a job? You meet new people, face new challenges and move onwards and upwards (we hope) and CJS will refund the remainder of your subscription, or you can be generous and transfer it to a not so lucky job-hunting friend. Anything else I should know? The subscriber database closes at 3pm on Thursday to allow us to prepare that weekend's mailing list and to print your address page and update the online register of users. If your payment is received after that it will not be processed until the following week. However if you subscribe online you have immediate access to the online copies. And one final thing - CJS uses 100% recycled paper and envelopes. OK, it all sounds great - how do I contact you? click here for details A polite suggestion from CJS: Why not add an extra 1p/week (or more) to your Subscription for Leukaemia Research and / or 'CJ Snail' our adopted endangered species at Jersey Zoo?
